Land
Prior to the land being purchased, movewithus South America S.A. will require an independent valuation by a company of national reputation. This means that at the moment of purchase, it will worth as much or more than the money paid for it. After that, of course, it is likely to rise in value along with all arable land in Argentina.
SAAM is a public company, formed from the merger of a number of smaller farm operators, and is one of the most efficient farm operators in Argentina. movewithus South America S.A. has negotiated an excellent deal with SAAM to rent the land, with a bank bond to guarantee the rent. SAAM is already renting and operating large amounts of land owned by international investors, especially from the UK, USA and Spain; so it has a reputation to protect.
But your investment does not depend on SAAM. If there is any problem, movewithus South America S.A. can make an alternative arrangement with one of the many other farm operators in Argentina.
Investment security
The investment security will be the land itself. In the unlikely event of SAAM breaking the operational contract, the investor will still own the land. So another operator can be found or the land can be sold on the open market. And owing to rising global demand for food and bio-fuels, output and land prices are likely to be rising steeply.
Further Information about SAAM
movewithus South America S.A. through its Argentinean office, knows SAAM well and is confident of both its financial strength and its integrity. So through movewithus you can trust SAAM. There are two important further points. First, you will not deal directly with SAAM; all dealings will be through movewithus international pte ltd as your agent. Second, the value of your investment does not ultimately depend on SAAM, but on the value of the land that you will own. Indeed, this second point applies to any investment in overseas property: the value does not depend on the local management company or operator, but on the property itself.
What happens if SAAM cannot honour the contract?
In the very unlikely event of SAAM failing to honour the contract, investors will still own the land. Powerscourt and movewithus international will arrange another company to rent it and will eventually sell it on the open market.
